Got the new Snow Patrol album today. I am going to render my iPod useless if I listen to it one more time. So beautiful. There are so many layers and elements of hip hop, 20th century music, and good old Snow Patrol rock in there. All sewn together by Gary Lightbody's lyrics. The album is cyclical and starts as it ends, and the words speak of pulse, and warmth, and the overwhelming feeling of existing between the planets.
It feels like a privilege to listen to it, because there is just so much work and time, and the story of a real, private relationship all played out in it. Thank you Snow Patrol for pulling it off, yet again.
